纽约的第六天 ⑥ Sixth day in New York

因为准备要回家 加上酒店非常舒服的关系
我们决定在房里吃早餐 在房里吃了一餐价格非常高 分量却很不美国式的早餐
所以收拾好行李之后 我们走到酒店附近 听说稍有名气的Joe‘s Shanghai 在填填我们的肚子
（记得点他们家的小笼包）
We decided to have our last breakfast in New York in our room, hence we ordered an American Breakfast set. Almost immediately, we regretted as it was pricey and the portion was small compared to other meals we had.
Right after we have done packing our luggage, we walk to a Famous Chinese Restaurant - Joe's Shanghai as we were still starving. (Try their Xiao Long Bao!)

因为还有挺多时间 加上我们的New York Pass还有效 当然得去看看更多景点咯
As there was still plenty of time before we have to head to the airport (plus our New York Pass is valid), so we decided to squeeze every penny out of it...

第一站 ➭ 圣巴德里爵主教座堂 St. Patrick Cathedral
是一座在纽约市非常著名的主教堂
在一座座很现代建筑的之间 显得很有特色 
非常壮观！

First Stop ➭ St Patrick Cathedral
The cathedral is located in the middle of the city surrounded by modern buildings.
St. Patrick Cathedral is one of the famous landmarks in NYC too!

第二站 ➭ 洛克菲勒中心 （观景台）Top of the Rockefeller
因为之前看了一步电影 How to Be Single, 女主角很爱在圣诞节时去这里
所以挑起我就算去了帝国中心还是想去洛克菲勒的冲动
其实都是观景台 之间不一样的是 在洛克菲勒可以看到帝国中心 （废话，哈哈）
Second Stop ➭ Top of the Rock (Rockefeller)
Rockefeller is an observation deck. 
I felt that the only difference between Rockefeller and Empire State Building is that you can admire Empire State Building from Rockefeller and vice versa as they are near one another. =P

第三站 ➭ 大中央总站 Grand Central Terminal
这是一个在很多很多电影都会出现的场景
在这里坐着看人来人往 也是一种享受呢
Third Stop ➭ Grand Central Terminal
This is a working central terminal that appeared in countless movie scenes!
I can spend hours seating there and gazing people rushing to or from the train.



参观完我特别想去的景点 肚子也有点饿了 （走超多的）
Junior New York Cheese 位于Times Square
这是我觉得如果来纽约只能吃一样食物 我绝对会毫不犹豫选的
无敌好吃的！！
After visiting most of the attractions on my extensive list, it's time for high-tea!
Junior New York Cheese serves the best cheesecake I ever had!
They have a few outlets, but I visited the one in Times Square.


吃完无敌好吃又无敌出名的New York Cheese Cake
还有一些时间 就到Times Square里的 Starwars Exhibition 看看
After high tea session, we found out that there is a Starwars Exhibition just around the corner and our New York Pass do grant us free entry so off we went.



之后回酒店提我们的行李就准备回家啦 想到20多小时的行程 就怕怕的
Here marked our last stop in New York. After picking up our luggage from the hotel, it's time to go home. (20 hours journey is waiting for us =( )

纽约旅行的 一些小贴士☺ New York Travel Tips

❥ 时差：比新加坡和马来西亚慢12小时

Time difference: 12 hours behind Singapore & Malaysia

❥ 货币: 美金

Currency: USD

❥ 小费：所有餐馆都需要给小费 在收据上会注明 Gratuity 或者 Tips

15% 或者20% (比如你吃一餐USD100的需要给USD15) 除了快餐或者打包

Tips: It is required in all the dining places and it will be indicated on the receipt "Gratuity or Tips 15-20%"

 (eg: Dinner that cost you USD100, tips required USD15). However, if you are having fast food or take out, tipping is generally not required

❥ 消费：消费算高 尤其是曼哈顿 一餐加上小费 大约一人50美金左右

Expenses: Cost of living in New York is relatively high, especially in Manhattan. A meal plus tips will cost around 50 USD per person. 

❥ 语言：英语 但是我们亚洲人可能会比较不习惯他们的口音 你可以要求他们说慢一些 

Language: English!

纽约的第五天⑤ Fifth day in New York

一早起来 收拾好行李准备退房啦

打车到这一晚的酒店 位于第五大道 Fifth Avenue的The Plaza, Fairmont

The Plaza 是世界上最著名的酒店之一

这家酒店一晚需要大约SGD1000 左右 但是因为Dennis是他们家旗下酒店的职员 

所以我们可以有享有Staff Price的优惠

We checked out from Staybridge suites and moved to our next hotel The Plaza Fairmont.

The Plaza Fairmont is one of the most iconic hotel in the world. 

It is located on Fifth Avenue and cost around SGD1000 per night.

However, we got staff discount for staying with Fairmont as Dennis used to work with the group.

The Plaza Fairmont 是目前为止 我住过最奢华 最高档的酒店

每一层楼 都有一位管家 你需要什么都可以吩咐她／他去做

住这家酒店 连饮用水都需要让管家给你拿 

当然每一次服务后都需要给对我来说庞大的“小费”

The Plaza Fairmont is the most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed!

There is a duty butler on every floor, whom you can make a request from the simplest thing like asking for a cup of water. Of course, there is a cost for every request you make.

入房手续办好之后 

我们走到酒店附近的意大利餐馆 解决了我们的午餐

吃饱后 就开始 New York City Uptown Loop啦

因为酒店就在Central Park的正前方 所以我们走到第19站Central Park站开始我们Big Bus Tour

After having our lunch in an Italian restaurant nearby, we walked to the 19th stop and hopped on to the Uptown loop big bus tour!

第一站➭ 美国自然历史博物馆 American Museum of Natural History

这是世界上最多人参观的博物馆 也是电影Night at the Museum的取景地

博物馆内展示包括 天文学，人类学，古生物和生物学等等

这博物馆很大 就算花上一天的时间也可能都看不完所有的展示品 

所以我们也只能选择性的参观

1st stop➭ American Museum of Natural History

The most visited museum on earth! It is also where the Movie "Night at the Museum" was filmed!

It showcases plants, animals, fossils and basically everything about the natural world.

American Museum of Natural History is so huge that it is impossible to finish within a day.

第二站➭ 纽约圣约翰大教堂 Cathedral of Saint John the Divine

美国最大的圣公会教堂 非常大非常壮观

内部设计也无敌漂亮

2nd stop➭ Cathedral of Saint John the Divine

The largest cathedral in the United States. 

Both its interior and exterior is beautifully constructed.

第三站➭ 大都会艺术博物馆 Metropolitan Museum of Art

通常被简称为 "The Met" 是世界上最大的艺术博物馆之一

内藏超过两百万件艺术品 有世界各地的武器 盔甲 服装 乐器等等

这里如果要真心去欣赏和阅读每一件艺术品 应该需要搭帐篷住在里面一个星期吧

所以我跟Dennis个选择了自己比较感兴趣的主题 我选了 埃及 他选了 盔甲

其他的 下次再来慢慢欣赏吧！
3rd stop➭ Metropolitan Museum of Art
Also known as "The Met", is one of the world's largest art museum.
Like the other museums in New York, you will need at least a week's time to explore everything inside.
Hence, Dennis & I each chose a theme that we are most interested in to visit, due to time constraint.

第四站➭ The Plaza Fairmont Room Tour

因为我们接到电话说 房间已经准备好了

所以就迫不及待的赶回去 看看啦

内部设计真的无敌奢华呢
4th stop➭ The Plaza Fairmont Room Tour
After visiting The Met, we were informed that our room is ready!

第五站➭ Apple Store

欣赏完这一晚的酒店 好奇的我们决定走到酒店对面的 苹果专卖店 瞧瞧看

5th stop➭ Apple Store

Then, we found out that there is an Apple Store right opposite the hotel, as a self-proclaimed SUPER Apple Fan, of course, I will not miss it!

晚餐时间又到啦

我们走到超级市场 买了一盒盒的食物 然后在超市专设的食堂区 

像当地人一样的享用我们的晚餐
Its dinner time again!
Tonight we decided to have our dinner "local style", hence we went to a supermarket with a canteen and enjoyed our meal while people watching. 

第六站➭ Night Big Bus Tour to Brooklyn

因为时间紧迫 我们没有时间步行Brooklyn bridge到Brooklyn

所以只好额外买Night Big Bus Tour的票到Brooklyn一游啦

巴士没有停车 也听说夜晚的Brooklyn并不安全 

所以我们真的是到此一游 就回去曼哈顿了
6th stop➭ Night Big Bus Tour to Brooklyn
Due to time constraint, we were unable to visit Brooklyn Bridge over the past few days so we bought a Night Big Bus Tour to visit Brooklyn.
This night bus was a non-stop tour so we only get to see Brooklyn on the bus.

回到Times Square 可能身体已经开始适应了时差

这一个晚上 我们两一点都不觉得疲倦

所以就在Times Square 走走看看这不夜城

然后在街边买了一些小吃当晚餐
The night bus tour started at Times Square and ended at Times Square too.
After two long weeks, I thought our body finally started to adapt to the time difference but damn we are going back soon..
We spent our last night in New York strolling around Times Square, the city that never sleeps while enjoying our supper (street food).

❹ 6days 5nights in New York City 六天五夜纽约之旅

纽约的第四天④ Fourth day in New York

逛了两天的Outlet 虽然心里还是没有被填满 但是行李却已经被填得满满了 =P
一早起来 带走了酒店准备的一些面包 （因为睡迟了😂）
就从酒店边吃边走的去在Times Square的 Big Bus Welcome Centre (10分钟)
然后用第一天领取的New York Pass来取我们的Big Bus Tour 票
我建议早一点到 因为我9点半到时 已经有着长长的人龙了
非常方便的是 Downtown sloop 的第一站在Welcome Centre的旁边 可是那里也排着长长的人龙
After 2 days of outlet shopping, its time to do something more 'touristy'!
We grabbed some bread from the Hotel breakfast counter and made our way to Big Bus Welcome Centre at Times square. (10min walk from Staybridge suites)
As mentioned on the first day, New York Pass comes with 2 days Big Bus Tour Ticket.
What you have to do is simply show your New York Pass to redeem a Big Bus Tour Ticket.
We reached Big Bus Tour Centre at about 9.30am and there was already a long queue. I would suggest coming as earlier as you can.


如果要分析Downtown 和 Uptown Loop
我觉得应该是这样:
Downtown Loop: 旅游景点观光，这一条环线到达的都是纽约有名的景点 比如帝国大厦，熨斗大厦，纽约唐人街，布鲁克林大桥，纽约市政厅，华尔街，自由女神和高线公园等等
Uptown Loop: 艺术博物馆，这一条环线带你去到世界著名的博物馆和艺术中心 比如 林肯艺术中心，美国自然历史博物馆，圣约翰大教堂，阿波罗剧院，纽约市立博物馆，大都会艺术博物馆，还有中央公园动物园
（以上景点都以顺序排列）
A brief introduction of Downtown and Uptown Sloop:
Downtown Loop: Tourist Attractions, all the popular ones like Empire State Building, FlatIron, Chinatown, Brooklyn Bridge, New York City Hall, Wall Street, Statue of Liberty and The High line are located in downtown.
Uptown Loop: Art, Historical Museum, This loop brings you to many world top art and historical spots like Lincoln center, American Museum of Natural History, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, Apollo Theatre, Museum of The City Of New York, Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park Zoo.

Big Bus唯一的缺点 我觉得是营业时间太短 大概从早上8点开始到傍晚5点左右
但没关系 因为纽约地铁Subway 操作24小时=) 只要做好功课就好
Big Bus operates from 8am to 5pm which I personally find it too short.
However, if you plan your trip well then it shouldn't be a problem.
Alternatively, you can ride the subway as it operates 24 hours in New York.

第一天的观光行程 我们选择了Downtown Loop 原因很简单 我们已经迫不及待想见自由女神了😍
We started our day with Downtown Loop for a simple reason: Statue of Liberty.

第一站➭ 帝国大厦 Empire State Building

帝国大厦 取名于 纽约的外号 "Empire State" 帝国

这一百零二层高的摩天大楼 是1931年至1970年之间 世界最高的建筑物 
之后被纽约世界贸易中心超越在2001年 911 事件之后 又再次成为纽约最高建筑物  
2012年后 被世界贸易中心一号大楼超越

跟自由女神一样 帝国大厦是纽约的地标

1st stop ➭ Empire State Building
This 102 storeys skyscraper was named after the nickname of New York "Empire State" and it was once the tallest building in the world from year 1931 to 1970.
It was then later overtaken by World Trade Center.
After the September 11 attacks, Empire State building regains its position as the tallest building in New York, only surpassed by One World Trade Center in 2012.
Just like the Statue of Liberty, it is also one of the New York City's most famous landmark.

游客来这里的主要目的是 登上观景台 眺望整个纽约美景

New York Pass可以换取 帝国大厦86楼观景台的入门票 如果想登上102楼观景台 则需另外买票
New York Pass grant you a ticket to it's 86th floor observation deck. 
You have to purchase another ticker if you wish to visit the 102nd floor observation deck.
On the ESB observation deck, you can have a 360-degree view of New York and beyond.

第二站➭ 熨斗大厦 Flatiron Building

参观完帝国大厦观景台 我们走路到下一站 Flatiron district 

一路上买了subway边走边吃 因为时间太宝贵了

熨斗大厦 厦如其名 就因为这三角形的建筑物长得太像熨斗了
从这里我们搭Big Bus 第4站到下一个目的地
2nd stop ➭ Flatiron Building
After visiting Empire State Building, we grabbed a subway, to go, and walked to our next destination Flatiron District.
The name "Flatiron" derives from its resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron.

第三站➭ 渡轮➭ 自由女神像 Statue of Liberty
因为时间有限 一路经过很多景点都没有下巴士
一直到第12站 因为自由女神在Liberty Island
所以需要坐渡轮 (New York Pass包括船票哦）
人是无敌多的 好在一艘渡轮可以载很多人
3rd stop ➭ Statue Cruises ➭ The Statue of Liberty
Due to time constraint, we did not stop at many attractions until the 12th stop.
We have to board the ferry to reach our destination as Statue of Liberty is located at Liberty Island.
(Cruise ticket is included in New York Pass)
No worries if you see a long queue, each ferry can accommodate many people.


到啦！ 自由女神 真的超美丽的啦
可能因为时间迟了 上去自由女神皇冠的门票已经售完
所以我们只好这样看她了
Here we are! I couldn't use any words to describe how beautiful she is!!
Sadly, as the ticket to Statue of Liberty Crown was sold out so we could only admire her from a distance.


第四站➭ 归零地 911世贸中心遗址 Ground Zero 9/11 Memorial & Museum
911事件 的 事发地点
曾经的世贸双子塔 如今已经变成了一片平地
在这里可以看到很多911事件留下的遗迹 比如说车子 遇害者遗物
还有一些当时的录音 影片 等等等 是一个极为伤心的遗址
4th stop ➭ Ground Zero 9/11 Memorial & Museum
The September 11 attacks, World Trade Center site.
There are many remains from the incident such as cars, video clips and audio records, etc in the Museum. I got to say, this is gonna be an emotional trip.


第五站➭ Downtown Big Bus Tour
我们在归零地花了快3个小时
还好赶上了最后一趟Big Bus 所以我们也没有在下车
一路经过现在的 世界贸易中心一号大楼（右图） 高线公园等等
Fifth stop➭ Downtown Big Bus Tour
We spent almost 3 hours in the 9/11 museum and managed to catch the last Big Bus of the day.
On the way back, we passed by many attractions like the One World Trade Center (right) and The High Line etc.



回到了最后一站也是第一站 Times Square
晚餐时间到！
在纽约 很多餐我们都选择On the go
第一省时间 第二省小费 （小费方面在Day 5会说明）
我们的晚餐 Pizza 美国人的食量比我们亚洲人大很多
所以很多时候 我跟Dennis都会share一份餐点
The last stop of Big Bus: is the first stop ➭ Times Square
Time for DINNER!
In New York, we chose on the go for most of the meals as it saves time and money (tips is mandatory if you eat in a restaurant in US!)
Look at the PIZZA, it is even bigger than my palm!
The food portion here is huge so most of the time Dennis and I will share a meal.

在Times Square不能错过的其中一家店 M&M‘s World
在这里 你可以要求定制各种各样的M&Ms
6th stop ➭ M&M's World
One of the hard to miss shop in Times Square!
You can customize your own M&M's in this 25,000 square feet M&M's store!


第七站➭百老汇秀 Chicago 音乐剧 Broadway show
来到纽约不看百老汇秀 怎么行
我觉得嘛 New Yorker 看Broadway就好像我们看电影一样
可以到时代广场Times Square梯阶后面的TKTS booth 买票
我们买到了Last minute ticket 虽然没有得选位子 但是价格是超优惠的啦
看了Chicago 音乐秀
个人比较没有艺术细胞 所以我真的不太会欣赏也
7th stop ➭  Broadway show - Chicago
Watching a Broadway show in New York is a must!
New Yorkers watch Broadway show is just like us watching movie.
Broadway ticket can be purchased at TKTS booth, located right behind the Step seats of Times Square.
We managed to get a last minute deal for Chicago musical from TKTS booth with good price!


看完百老汇秀 我们就漫步回酒店啦
We call it a day after finish watching the Broadway show!

一大早我们就坐朋友住在纽约的爸爸的车 到Woodbury Common Premium Outlet
（或者可以预定Woodbury的巴士票: 点我）
从酒店到Outlet要1小时30分钟以上 繁忙时间需要更长的时间
After we had our breakfast, our friend's father who is staying in New York, came and pick us up to the Woodbury Common Premium Outlet.

我们来纽约的时候刚好是纽约纪念日 (每年5月的最后一个星期一)
所以到处都会有特别优惠折扣 到处也都会人山人海

只能说 我们在这里Shop到快疯了 价格最少便宜亚洲30% 最多80%
Woodbury面积非常大 一天里逛完＝不可能的任务 所以我们选择了我们中意的几家牌子
但还是逛不完=( 连午餐都要边走边吃呢

Woodbury Common Premium Outlet is an outdoor shopping mall. So remember to bring a cap or hat during summer season and coat on winter season!
The day we were in New York was memorial day. (Last Monday of May)
Woodbury was super crowded as there were many promotions and massive sales going on.
The urge of buying everything was strong as the price tag were 30%-80% lower compared to where I came from.
However, Woodbury is really huge, to complete it in a day is mission impossible. Hence, we got to choose from the list and only went to those we really interested in.
Recommended to do some research on what brand Woodbury offers before you head down to the outlet!

买了这么多 要怎样拿呢？
我的建议是带一个行李箱(大小就看你的购物功力) 这会让你方便很多 (其实超多)
我不是很爱购物的人都装满了一个小的行李箱 加手拿4-5袋
去之前 Dennis很抗拒拿行李 他觉得太夸张了 结果去了回来他还感谢我呢 哈哈哈
How to carry all the stuff? My recommendation is to carry a luggage with you (size depends on how much you plan to spend), it will save a lot of trouble!
Just to give you an idea, I am not a shopaholic, but I still manage to fill my small luggage to the brim and carry another 4-5 more bags.

关于Size呢 我们亚洲人到美国好像去到大人国一样 哈哈哈
有很多喜欢的衣服 都找不到小号的Size 或者最小号都还是太大的问题
尤其是鞋子 不能顺着自己喜欢的款式 而是要找有size的款式
About the fit of those apparel, some do not fit Asians even when they are size s (maybe due to my small built)
Sadly, I did not manage to buy any shoes at Woodbury, and size does matter.

我们离开的时间大约5点 交通非常拥挤 大约2小时半后我们才回到城市
逛了一天无敌累了 朋友的爸爸带我们到Chinatown他朋友中餐馆 解决了我们的晚餐
据说 除了中国之外 美国拥有最好吃的中餐
可是我们又饿又累 在那个时候 对我来说 什么都好=P 能躺在床上吃更好!
We left Woodbury outlet at about 5pm and reached Manhattan at about 8pm due to traffic congestion.
After a long day of shopping, we were all exhausted!
My friend's Daddy brought us to a Chinese Restaurant located in Chinatown to have our dinner, and we head back to our room right after that!



纽约的第三天③ Third day in New York
原来我们是打算只去Outlet一天 可是真的Shop不够=(
所以这一天我们又去了另一家 Tanger Outlet Riverhead
路程跟去Woodbury差不多 但是交通比较顺畅
Initially, we planned to spend one day shopping at the Outlet, however, we reckoned we did not buy enough so we decided to head to another Outlet, which is Tanger Outlet Riverhead! (Team decision, not mine alone)
Journey from Times Square to Tanger is about 1.5hours long.

来到这里 也一样 要先到Information Centre索取Coupon Book!!!
不一样的是 Tanger需要出示护照 证明你不是美国人 才能免费索取
不然需要要付费才能得到Coupon Book
You can collect Free Coupon Book from Information Centre like Woodbury Outlet.
However, your passport must be presented to show that you are a tourist or else there will be a charge for collecting the Coupon Book.

Tanger跟Woodbury一样都是露天式购物城
但是比起Woodbury, Tanger 比较小 比较容易逛
Tanger没有Woodbury热闹 可能因为这样 商品比较整齐 款式也比较多
一天内逛完还是有难度的 所以我们选择了前一天没有去到的品牌
Similar to Woodbury, Tanger outlet is also an outdoor shopping mall but size wise, it is a tad smaller.
Tanger isn't as crowded as Woodbury, and the merchandise is tidier with more design to choose from.

虽然比较小 但基本上Woodbury有的品牌跟Tanger是差不多一样的
还有 我注意到Woodbury没有Victoria Secret但是Tanger有

Although Tanger is smaller than Woodbury, it does carry almost all the brands in Woodbury.
An observation of mine, Woodbury does not have Victoria Secret but Tanger have.

and the price is almost half cheaper compared to Singapore.

逛完后 我们到Red Lobster解决晚餐
来Red Lobster一定要点他们家的龙虾 很鲜甜 价钱也不会很贵
两个人的晚餐加小费 大约USD60-80左右
After we finished our shopping at Tanger, we went to Red Lobster for our dinner.
The lobsters here are fresh and sweet, at affordable prices.
Dinner for two costed us about USD60-80.


逛了两天 脚都快不属于我的了
我之前说曼谷是购物天堂 现在才发现 世界上其实有很多其他的购物天堂啊
在这里提醒一下 美国购物没得退税 因为国家政府没有征税 你所付的税是州政府征的
Stuff you bought at US is not entitled for tax refund as the Country's government do not impose taxes but the State government do.

还有就是

这两天因为在外面的时间比较长
让我亲身体验 有四季国家夏天的日长夜短
一开始我以为时间过得很慢 怎么一直是天亮 看时间才发现 原来已经晚上8点多9点了

天气也很古怪 晚上跟下午的发差挺大 下午可以25-30摄氏度左右 晚上可以到10摄氏度=O
所以最好穿着夏天的衣服 带着保暖的外套

After being out for two long days, there are a few things to take note.
During Summer, day time are longer than night time.
The sky will be bright till 8-9pm!
Weather differences are huge too, it can be at 25-30 degree celsius during day time and 10 degree celsius at night!
So bring a jacket with you, it will definitely come in handy!

纽约的第一天① First day in New York

一大清早 天都还没亮就搭酒店安排的车去百慕大机场了 

不知道是百慕大的机场严格还是我们飞的American Airline严格

第一次搭飞机 行李重量不能跟旅伴共用 而且一人只能拿一件行李 

非常“幸运”的是 我们的其中一个行李超重 所以我们得在机场重新收拾我们的行李 
否则就得付行李超重的费用USD100！(很不通情达理)

庆幸的是我们很早就到机场 不然我们可能连飞机都赶不上=(
We made our way to the Bermuda airport before sunrise.
Due to American Airline "strict" regulations, we were not allowed to share our check-in baggage allowance with our travel companion. On top of that, each passenger is only allowed to check-in one baggage.
Unfortunately, one of our luggage exceeded the weight limit while fortunately, the other luggage was "underweight". Hence, we repacked the luggage in the airport to avoid paying the extra baggage charge of USD100  =(
We were glad that we arrived earlier though or we might missed our flight

百慕大时间早上9点10飞往纽约肯尼迪国际机场(JFK)

飞行时间 2小时20分钟 新加坡和纽约时差-12小时

Our flight from Bermuda to New York took off at 9.10 am local time and arrived at John F. Kennedy International airport at 10.30am New York time (SG 10.30pm)
Flight duration:2 hours 20minutes, Time difference between SG and NY - 12hours

纽约共分为五个行政区

分别是皇后区(Queens), 布鲁克林区(Brooklyn), 布朗克斯(Bronx), 斯坦顿岛(Staten Island) 和 曼哈顿(Manhattan).
There are five boroughs in New York and they are Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, and Manhattan.

这一趟纽约之旅 因为时间限制 

我们只在Manhattan逗留了6天 (在这里告诉你 6天是完全不够的!!! 一个博物馆就可以花上一天的时间了)

为什么选择Manhattan呢？它是五个区里最繁华和繁忙的区

几乎所有你想得到的纽约景点都在这个区内

但它也是所有区内生活费最高的 

当地的朋友跟我们说 因为生活费差距太大 New Yorker都不住在Manhattan 

天天搭Subway从其他区到Manhattan上班
As we only have 6 days in NYC, hence we chose to stay within Manhattan. (6 days is definitely insufficient for New York as there are too many things and attractions to explore)
Why did we choose Manhattan out of the five boroughs? 
Manhattan is the busiest and most bustling boroughs compared to the others. It is also the most expensive boroughs to stay in.
A friend in New York told us that New Yorkers stay outside of Manhattan and travel to Manhattan every day for work.
But from a tourist perspective, staying in Manhattan is the most convenient as the majority of the attractions in New York are located within Manhattan!

到达纽约机场后 我们就搭得士去酒店

JFK机场位于Queens区

从JFK机场去曼哈顿(Manhattan)的价格是USD52 
加上其它税,费用 和小费 大约USD 60-70 左右

车程需要45分钟左右 (但也很难预测 因为Manhattan交通非常拥挤 常常有塞车的状况)
We left the airport by Taxi to our hotel in Manhattan. (JFK Airport is in Queens Boroughs)
The airport transfer cost a flat rate of USD52 for the taxi from/to airport to/from Manhattan, plus taxes and tips, it totaled up to around USD60-70.
Distance from Airport to Times Square was around 45min drive away. (However, I would say traffic was packed on the road and congestion is common in Manhattan so it varies with the situation)

第一到第四晚 我们住的是位于Times Square的StayBridge Suites. 

纽约Manhattan的住宿价位都挺高 

我们住的Staybridge是类似服务式公寓Service Apartment的酒店 有洗衣机和小厨房的

但是房间非常小 四晚价格都要大约USD1000左右

优点是这家酒店靠近Times Square, Broadway 和其它景点. 对于旅客来说非常方便=)

还有每天都有自助免费早餐哦(这可以让你一天省下最少USD10=P)
We were staying in StayBridge Suites, Times Square for the first four nights.
StayBridge Suite is a service apartment with facilities like washing machine and mini kitchen.
The room is relatively small and it cost us around USD1000 for 4 nights. (Accommodations in Manhattan is relatively high.)
The pros of staying at StayBridge Suites is its superb location! The hotel is not only near to Times Square but also Broadway and many other attractions.
On top of that, the hotel also provides free breakfast every morning and this could easily save you at least USD10 per day!

因为太早了 房间还没准备好 我们就走到酒店附近的Times Square走走看看

很热闹 真的是人山人海! 

来到这里 莫名想到蜘蛛侠😂
As our room was not ready yet, so we took a walk to Times Square which was just a stone's throw away!
Look at that lively Times Square.

Times Square上有很多卖艺的 有扮卡通人物的 有 裸男裸女 有 音乐家 等等等

只要你跟他们有眼神交流 他们都会向前来 跟你拍照 然后收费 大约USD5-10  为什么我知道？因为我也拍了😂我只是说了一声So cute! 他们就全部冲过来就牵着我的手 拍照=<
There are many buskers who dress as mascot, the naked cowboy, naked grandma, and musician etc.
They will approach tourists for photo taking as long you establish eye contact with them, and they will ask for tips of USD5-10, wonder why I knew?
This is the reason...

离开了Times Square 我们走到Big Bus Centre领取我们先前在网上购买的New York Pass.

它是一张纽约旅游万能卡 可以兑换超过80个旅游景点的入门票 (一次)
有些景点还让New York Pass持有者排Express line哦

价格方面 New York Pass是以天计算的

所以你去的景点越多省得越多!

After visiting Times Square, we head off to the Big Bus Centre to collect the New York Pass which we pre-ordered online.
New York Pass grants you a one-time entry into 80+ over attractions! (Some of the attractions even offer express line for New York Pass holder)

我们买了三天的Pass 还附送了两天的Big Bus tour

Bis Bus tour呢 是观光巴士 分为两个路线 分别是Uptown loop和Downtown loop
不管是Uptown还是Downtown的第一站都在Midtown的Times Square
所以住在Times Square非常方便 巴士有在很多出名的景点让游客下车 参观了景点
可以在同一个地点上任何Big Bus Tour的巴士 每趟巴士间隔大约15-20分钟
(有另一家旅游团的巴士跟Big Bus的长得挺像 所以要看清楚)
巴士上都有一名导游 有导游很风趣的 当然也有念书式的导游=P
除了这两个Route, Big Bus还有Brooklyn Tour 和 Night Tour. 可以到纽约才决定要不要upgrade.
We bought 3 days pass and got 2 days Big Bus tour for free.
Big Bus tour is a bus that goes to Uptown and Downtown.
The pick up point of both routes are in Midtown's Times Square, so staying around Times Square will be really convenient!
Big bus stops are located at many attractions and you can go back to the same spot after finished visiting and hop on to any of the Big Bus. (Interval: 15-20 minutes)
There is always a tour guide in every Big Bus and some of the guides can be really humorous!
Other than the normal route, Big Bus also offers other tours like Brooklyn Tour and Night Tour. You can decide whether to upgrade when you are in New York.

午餐后 就接到酒店的电话说房间准备好了
在药房买了感冒药就回酒店去了 (我带去的Panadol都吃完了)
因为身体还是很弱 这一天连晚餐都没有吃 就直接睡到另一天早上 (出国生病真的很辛苦)
男朋友读感冒药的说明书 说药效非常强 这也可能是我睡了起不来的关系吧
但是了吃一次 隔天我就感觉好了很多很多 也可能身体开始适应那里的时差了?
After lunch, we received a call from the hotel said that our room is ready!
We head to a drugstore to get some flu medicine before making our way back to the hotel.
After taking the flu medicine, I head to sleep right away and only woke up the next morning.
Might be due to the medicine drowsy formula, however, I feel much better the next day.
