Its been awhile since I have gone for a trip. 

The original destination was supposed to be Taiwan, however due to the typhoon season and to avoid disappointment,  I decided to change the destination. As I am unemployed at the moment, I spent almost a month's time to plan for the trip (Take my own sweet time)

This is Our first time to Bali but definitely not the last!


Our departure was on Sunday night. The flight time from Singapore to Bali took around 2 hours and 45 minutes
Ready to board!

We reached Ngurah Rai airport at around 8.20 pm

After arrival, we quickly line up for the immigration clearance.

Super duper long queue, but there are a few counters for Asia country passport holders

The airport Staff saw us holding both Singapore and Malaysia passport hence directed us there

We got through less than 5 minutes !
There is high-speed Wi-Fi in Ngurah Rai Airport,
so you can inform your loves one once you have touched down...(How nice of them)

We proceeded to the taxi stand and get a driver to send us to our hotel

Read quite a number of others' negative Bali's tour experience before our trip, but ended up also paying more!

We were targeting 'blue bird' taxi company, as they have better reputation

But some dude just POPPED out, named the price and took my luggage to his car

The fare from airport to hotel ,at Kuta area, cost me 150k rupiah =.=

I check with the front desk about the usual price during checking in hotel 
and she said normally around 70-80k rupiah So, I paid DOUBLE!!!!

We were staying at a decent hotel which was completed in recent year, 
Harper Kuta Hotel

Located at Jalan Legian, Kuta's 'nightlife' street

Food, Drink and Daily needs is all within walking distance

Cons of the hotel, a bit noisy at night and normally last til 4 am midnight 

There are also a lot of drug sellers on the street

They will whisper 'mushroom mushroom' (Just ignored or reject politely)

After dumping our luggages in the room, we went out to buy some groceries

A Guardian was just around the corner when we walked out of the hotel

As we did not purchase additional check in baggage, we couldn't carry too much liquid thingy with us

Thought it should be cheaper in Bali

But it is completely wrong! Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, shower gel and so on costed us more than 400k rupiah

After which, we went to a 24 hours mini-mart to get few bottles of mineral water before we heading back to the hotel

Quick note: the tap water in Bali is not consumable 

We even brushed our teeth with mineral water because I accidentally tasted the tap water while bathing, it tasted just like sea water (Salty)

Back to the hotel, we ordered room service because we were really too tired to look for restaurants

Not very sure whether am I too hungry? but I thought the food was super delicious! Haha

After the meal, took a warm shower and its time to get a good night's rest in preparation for tomorrow!

But I almost didn't sleep the whole night, maybe I was too excited?
